Service terms for Tech2Fix repairs.

These draft terms define the customer journey from booking and assessment through quote approval, repair, recovery, return and warranty.

Booking and diagnosis

  • A repair booking is confirmed only after successful diagnostic checkout.
  • The diagnostic fee covers assessment and is separate from any repair quote.
  • Customers should not send devices without a confirmed booking reference.

Data Recovery

  • Data Recovery starts with a Data Recovery Assessment, priced like the normal diagnostic route.
  • The assessment checks whether recovery is viable, what recovery route is safest, what risk applies and what recovery quote should be issued.
  • Any temporary repair work during Data Recovery is performed only to access and extract data.
  • Data Recovery does not include a device repair warranty.

Repair quotes

  • Repair work does not proceed until the customer approves the quote.
  • If a quote is declined, the agreed return process applies.
  • Some faults may be uneconomical, unstable or unsuitable for repair.

Device condition and risk

  • Liquid damage, previous repair attempts and severe physical damage can affect diagnosis, repair success and warranty.
  • Data loss risk exists with damaged or unstable devices. Customers should back up data where possible.
  • Tech2Fix is not responsible for accessories sent without request.

Warranty

Completed device repairs include 90-day warranty cover for the specific fault repaired, subject to inspection and the exclusions in the warranty policy. Data Recovery jobs are excluded from the normal repair warranty route.
